Collaborations

Pictured is a golf bag tag for Boyd, Blade and Ferrule made using our carbon fiber laminated over bronze.

In support of our efforts to reduce landfill waste, we are also collaborating with several customers, primarily in the Golf market. Real Carbon has pioneered technology to process remnants from our automated ply cutter and sustainably utilize the salvaged material to manufacture smaller products. We then CNC through the carbon fiber to reveal the bespoke logo or text.

Macdonald Leather Goods

Macdonald Leather Goods is creating select remnants when they cut patterns for a golf bag or head cover from a roll of leather.

We’ll be developing a number of products using the finest leather and carbon fiber, and helping reduce landfill mass, whilst we do it!

According to the EPA; the total generation of municipal solid waste (MSW) in 2018 was 292.4 million tons (U.S. short tons, unless specified) or 4.9 pounds per person per day. Of the MSW generated, approximately 69 million tons were recycled, and 25 million tons were composted.

At Real Carbon we’re recycling 100% of our select remnants of Carbon Fiber and making beautiful products along the way.

We created several ball markers and bag tags for Macdonald Leather Goods as well some coasters to use select remnants of leather and carbon fiber.

Carbony Celtic Winds

Pipe Makers Union

In 2007 we were approached by a fine young Piper, by the name of Rob Gandara. He was interested in creating a line of sustainable musical instruments and replacing some of the exotic hardwoods from Africa frequently used to make exceptional wind instruments.

We struggled to embrace the vision until he suggested we make bagpipe parts; a clever ploy given Mike Graham founder of Real Carbon was born in Scotland!

We have been making a lot of musical instruments available through https://carbony.com/ ever since.
