Carbon Fiber Design Services

Design Services at Real Carbon

At Real Carbon, we bring over two decades of experience in digital design in composite manufacturing.

The experience we have gained allows us to leverage the relationship between tooling and processes which have a profound influence over product quality, and yield which can dramatically lower part costs. Tooling design drives process and lowers costs, this is an often ignored but extremely important aspect of designing cost competitive composite parts.

The correct selection of process and tool can cut a part cost in half, and lead to a more successful integration of the composite part into the product assembly, through improved quality and ability to meet tolerances.

Our expertise spans CAD, CAM, and CAE development specifically for composite applications. The models and engineering drawings we produce are directly exported to generate the CAM data used in CNC machining, enabling the creation of precision tooling for high-performance carbon fiber components.

Beyond the Screen: Experience Matters

While digital tools have revolutionized the industry, translating a CAD model into a functional composite part still demands real-world expertise. Our decades of hands-on experience bridge the gap between digital intent and physical execution, ensuring that each design is optimized for both manufacturability and performance.

Advancing with Tooling Technologies

One of the most impactful shifts in recent years has been the evolution of tooling materials. At Real Carbon, we’ve adopted Tooling Board as a versatile and cost-effective solution for producing high-quality composite prototypes. It allows for faster turnaround and design flexibility without compromising functionality.

These advances in Tooling materials have enabled development of faster and lower cost prototypes.

Whether you need a custom enclosure, aerodynamic fairing, or precision composite part, our integrated design-to-manufacture approach ensures efficiency, consistency, and innovation at every stage.
