High Strength-to-Weight Ratio: It provides maximum structural integrity with minimal mass, which directly increases flight…
Happy Earth Day!
Recycling carbon fiber and other exotic materials into exciting and unique products not only helps reduce waste but also contributes to sustainable practices in various industries. By reimagining these high-performance materials, we can create innovative designs that blend functionality with aesthetics, paving the way for a circular economy. This approach not only minimizes environmental impact but also opens up opportunities for creativity and advancement in product development, showcasing the potential of repurposing materials that were once considered difficult to recycle.
When we recycle our carbon fiber, we can produce parts which feature, 3K 2 x 2 twill, Plain weave, Unidirectional or even forged.
In the case of the latter, though our parts have the unique and random appearance of forged carbon fiber, we also have the opportunity to use oriented fibers below the top level and therefore impart far greater strength.
The test we show in the video demonstrates that oriented fibers create a strong forged part, which is the best of both worlds!
