Consumer Products

At Real Carbon no matter how hard we try we generate some carbon fiber which does not end up in the finished product.

Most of the extraneous material is created when we cut the plies needed for a specific part, on our automated ply cutter.

Using our proprietary methods we  process the extra material created in several ways to yield twill or forged carbon fiber parts.

Since we are typically working with smaller pieces of carbon fiber pre-preg we are generally making smaller parts for the consumer market, so far we have made knife handles, golf ball markers, forged and twill carbon fiber bag tags, forged and 3K Twill carbon fiber plates laminated over Aluminum, Brass and even Copper, as well as a variety of gorgeous coasters featuring our pebbled finish developed for the military market, and RF\EMI shielded 3k 2×2 twill money clips.

In the case of the Carbon Fiber Leather Coasters we are also using select remnants of leather harvested from Macdonald Leather Goods when they make luxury golf bags featuring our custom carbon fiber top ring\golf club divider.

The smaller scraps of carbon fiber are processed in a digester to make recycled carbon fiber pre-preg, into a forged feedstock.

We are also able to use fiber orientation on the inner plies, so we make truly strong forged carbon fiber parts.

As we improved our ability to sustainably manufacture recycled carbon fiber products, we felt this effort should become an entity unto itself.

So, we created a company called Carbinfinity (https://carbinfinity.com/)  to recycle these select remnants into consumer-oriented products, since the select remnants are typically smaller.
